midget whites

I would like to raise some midget white turkeys, the problem is I only want a few not 15. Does anyone know where I can buy less than 15 chicks?

You might check with the nearest feed store. Mine purchases turkeys from a hatchery so when she puts in her regular order for the store she'll be happy to order a few heritage birds that I'm interested in. She makes a profit selling them to me retail, and I only need to buy a few. Win-win.

It would probably be better to just order 15 and sell the extras yourself. Seems like people are always looking for midget whites. They aren't very common. Also if you order the full 15, you might be able to keep them for a bit longer in case you have any fatalities then when you decide to sell you will still have the number you originally planned on and you could sell older poults for more money.

Unless of course you are planning a trip down to Eastern NC.......
