~*~Midnight Nicker~*~A Horse RP~*~

Shooting Star sighed and looked at everyone in the Midnight herd. She didn't need any more milk, she was old enough, but she wanted a mare to let her call her mom.

Gatito whinnied despratley for Blanco. Where was he? After she had climbed onto shore, she had lost him. She whinnied and shivered from the cold:her coat was still wet and she couldn't bear the thought of spending the night alone. Oh how she wished for her la amante! Her mistress,Adonia! The one who would stroke her face and her her. "Oh,my pequino Gatito! My little kitten!" and stroke her dainty shaped face! She whinnied again in her distress. But her owner had sold her,for what she had believed for good. To come to america and repopulate, but she had been thrown overboard for lack of water. She lay down in the sand and started to cry.

Blanco bucked and kicked. He was free! Free at last! No more bits! No more saddles! He could think for himself! He laughed with joy and ran as hard as he could. Suddenly he heard a loud clank and he stopped. One of his horseshoes had come off! Blanco stomped, trying to loosen the others.

Sunstroke nickered to West. She sighed and ate some more grass. The bay mare was content. She looked down a t her large belly. She would soon have West's foal and she grunted contently.

Sol trotted slowly into the hills. He had no recollection of a bit in his mouth or a saddle on his back. His mother had escaped from the spanish, and had given birth to him in the wild. He was a truly free horse, and was proud of it. His loving mother, now gone, had named him Sol,after the sun in the rising sky. He flicked the flies of his buckskin coat and snorted. Why did he dwell on these things. Perhaps,he wanted to have a father for once,he set a foot down extra hard. Why did it matter? He was a fully grown stallion for heaven's sake! He wasn't a baby! He dismissed the thoughts.

Shade stole a glance over at Phantom and Jazzie. She huffed nd walked over, with a fake smile on her face. "Good afternoon.Isn't it bright out her?" she asked and fluttered her eyelids at the lead stallion.

Ghost sighed deeply and flinched. The wounds in his flech hurt badly,he couldn't believe it. The wolves had attacked so fast,he could hardly fight them off. He rose and tried to make it to the stream, but fell down in pain and grunted heavily. So much for that! He was going to die if he didn't get water.

Chinook lay down in the tall grass, and closed her eyes contently. She felt safe and protected,o much that she didn't see the rattlesnake in the grass beside her. She froze and a shrill sound of fear escaped her as the snake rattled it's tail. She stared wide eyed around, but she couldn't see the snake. "Help!" she squeaked, hoping that Blaze could come to her aid before it was too late!

Enrique stole a suspicous glance at the horse,Ricardo,wo was trotting beside him. He didn't trust this horse, but he had to stick with him,the wolf packs were very hungry and a lone horse didn't stand a chance.

Ricardo resisted the temtation to look at Enrique. He flet likewise,of course, but had to appear not so. He suddenly felt Enrique's eyes on him. He flinched slightly, and he stopped. A horse herd was ahead!
