Anyone else in the Midwest getting their fall and winter gardens going or already harvesting from them?

I grow lettuce, arugula, kale, spinach, chard, turnips, beets, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, kohlrabi, small potatoes, onions, herbs, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and squash in the fall. I only keep hardy leafy greens going through winter that can withstand the cold and snow. Getting ready to get my garlic in the ground to winter over.

Where are you located? The Midwest is large!

you can add to your profile your general location, like Western Ohio (my location). You could even add your garden zone, which is 6A for me.

frost is only 2 weeks away by average date in my area. I’m growing mustard, turnips, peas, beets, and spinach.

I’m in SE Iowa. I still have broccoli and chard in one of the raised beds. It’s not thriving, but it’s doing well enough. I’m hoping to keep it going until Thanksgiving. We harvested our last peppers and cucumbers in early Nov this year b/c of the 70°+ weather! We grow plants in our basement so I have arugula growing for Thanksgiving. We also have peppers, mint, basil, tomatillos, and sage going for Christmas. I finally got our garlic in last week!

I don't have anything in the garden, but I have a greenhouse with some greens coming on like crazy. Kale, lettuce, and I just planted a bunch of spinach. This is my first fall/winter with it, so we'll see what happens. I go up and eat lettuce plants to thin them out. :)
