I JUST uninstalled my water heater last week… now I’m out here haulin’ buckets of hot water to thaw the frozen waterer.

Yup. Today is actually 35, but it's been getting really cold overnight. It's awful.

I’m in Ohio too. It’s cold!!

We just give them a galvanized waterer on a heated base for the winter. As it warms they also get waterers in the run. But, yes, hauling water- I get it!

My heater base is what I removed last week for the year UGH! Im so dumb. I know Mother Nature always throws an April fools snow at us! I just got so excited in the 72° day!!

Mine failed after I bought my house, luckily the coop got me a new one under warranty. Now let's talk about propane.

I follow the frost dates like they are biblical...for my area in Missouri, the last possible date for a killing frost is April 20th..everything stays Winter until then as far as chores.
