There's a lot of famous people who had/have or love pigeons. Walt Disney had them. Queen Elizabeth has them. Charles Darwin came to love them so much that he stopped killing them for experiments/observations. Michael Landon also had them. He was in the movie Where Pigeons Go To Die and narrarated at least one pigeon documentary that I know of.

I was worried about the show because of Mike doing something stupid and hurting the hobby. It turned out pretty good. The Fancy birds he had were mainly Flying Flights. They are very popular in NYC. They also make great pumpers for shot beaked breeds. They are a thief pigeon. Fanciers fly their flocks into each other in hopes to lure the other fanciers birds back to their loft. The winner is the one that capture the most of the other fanciers birds. If it's just friendly compitition they give the birds back, otherwise if they want their birds back they have to buy them back.
