Mildew in new coop

Finally got the leaks fixed on the dry side, but noticed mildew on several areas inside and out of the coop. No quail are in it yet (had a leak issue that took a bit to figure out), but not sure why all the mildew is there. It's been raining for a couple weeks up until a couple days ago. This normal? Safe for the birds? The whole thing is painted so I'm not sure what I could've done to prevent it.

Give it a thorough cleaning with bleach. That should kill it off, though the stains may remain.
