Mille Fleur Duccle Cockerel or hen??

I need help trying to sex this 1 month old Duccle chick. I believe it’s a hen, but I wanted to make sure.

I have very limited d’uccle experience, but that one looks like a cockerel. It’s too young to say for sure, though.

I agree, what makes you say mixed? He looks like one to me. Could be wrong though. Just curious.

The dad might have been a D'uccle, but that doesn't mean the mother was. Your chick is definitely a mix. A pure D'uccle would have vulture hocks, much more leg feathering, beard and muffs, and your chick's color is not a color D'uccles come in.

My guess is cockerel. I do have to agree on a mutt. That or the breeder doesn't care how the birds turn out. Hes lacking a lot of characteristics of a Duccle. This is one of my Duccle pullets. Notice the muffs and its a little hard to tell but if you look hard enough you can see her vulture hocks.
