Mille Fleur questions and are any not bantams?

Quote:
Old English Game Bantams, Pycheon Bantams (SP?), Cochin Bantams (this color is new in this breed and is still being developed), Leghorns I am sure there are others but these are all I can think of.

I was thinking I wanted a full size, non-bantam because that is who I have now. I might reconsider if it is OK to mix them...

are the cochin and leghorn the only full size bird? (is there another name for a non-bantam?)

thanks everyone for writing, I love BYC!

Oh - you can certainly mix them - I've got 3 bantams in with 6 large breeds and they're all great together! My bantams are 2 Seramas and a White Crested Blue Polish, the large breeds are 2 Buff Orps, 2 EEs, 1 Barred Rock, and 1 RIR.

Great to hear! I think I will get some soon, saw some local D'uccle for sale.
Em you have nice sounding flock.
I'm excited to mix up my little flock, just have 4 arau/ americana/ EE hens, 1 roo (yes they do have a rump, one has muff, others have tufts, one is clean faced. eggs are olive green, light blue and one lays slight turquoiuse)
I would love to get a white laced red cornish, silverlaced wyandotte maybe a speckled sussex, all SO pretty!

Do all D'Uccle have feathered toes? I know I can look that up somewhere.
can get muddy here, feathered toes would get gross.

Mille Fleur is a colour pattern, not a breed or variety. You can breed it on to any bird if you have the base stock, time, money & patience.
