Mille Fleur's Beard

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, but this seemed the closest, I have four mille fleurs, 3 hens, and one rooster, I know the hens are prone to preening, anyways, the plucked out the roosters beard, what do I do to stop them? How long does it take his beard to grow back?

Is there any blood shed? If so you might need to separate them.

There is no blood, but they have plucked out all the feather directly under his beak,
