Okay, not really. . .but it made a nice title. . .
My eggs have been in the incubator 10 days. I have the Brinsea Octo 20.
I squished in 29 eggs:
One eggs is on top of the others - - - though not in the photo above
I have filled up the water reservoirs 1/2 way 2 times since first putting the eggs in to keep the Humidity at 40-42. . .it has dropped down to
about 30 once before I added more water. . .
Temp is at 99 or 100 . . .hard to read the darn glass deal through the plastic as high up as I have the bator to keep the kiddos out of it
I've got the vent all the way open.
Now. . .questions are:
All of that above sound okay?
When should I be sure to NOT open the incubator anymore?
When should I, if at all, fill the reservoirs up nearly to the top before the hatch?
I have the thing super full - I can't see how they can hatch in this sucker. . .
there is NO room to put them on their sides. . . they are all point down at the moment. . .
What do I do? Should I buy another incubator - maybe a cheap Little Giant or something. . .for hatching?
Is it okay to move them like that once they pip or should I move them prior to that, if at all?
Do I need to change anything as the hatching date is closer besides adding water, high temp? close the vent more?
