Mineral oil instead of baby oil

For combs, wattles, and legs? I have read that that helps soften them. We only have mineral oil.

Baby oil is mostly mineral oil. It will work the same. Why are you trying to soften them? Do they have scaley mites or are you shining them up for a show?

Baby oil is simply mineral oil with perfume added.
