I just set up my first hatch with my new brinsea mini advance. I specifically spent the extra money so the eggs would turn while I'm at work. I happened to be standing there when the turning motor and plate kicked on and the eggs moved but didn't rotate. I realized that they're all touching. These are assorted eggs from my hens (Now down to 2 buff orpingtons, a RI red, and a barred rock...and of course Rooster Cogburn). I have all the eggs placed as recommended with the larger air sack end toward the center of the incubator.
Would it be a bad idea to try alternating which way the eggs are pointing to see if they don't rub that way and may turn?
Also, I read the instructions thoroughly and set the turn angle by my eggs average diameter, but couldn't find any info on frequency of turning, so I just left it on default at every 45 minutes. That ok?
Thanks in advance.
