Mini Barn to Coop??

Hello there, I'm new.....Don't know anything about chickens yet cept they are cute & lay eggs. Has anyone made a coop out of a mini barn?? Silly as it may sound I want to be able to get into the coop with them, maybe have a small excape from the rest of the world. I don't have my chicks yet and want to get everything ready before I buy them. Also...Is there a certain kind of chicken that enjoys handling as I have grandkids who will be active in this adventure?? Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

Lots of people convert mini barns or shed to coops. And lots are big enough for people too.
