Bobwhite eggs. The problem with the bator is it does not have the capacity (there's very little air, water, egg mass, etc.. in it) to hold temp. There's nothing there holding heat. Then it is made of rather thin materials. That means it will only work if placed in a room where the temp does not fluctuate at all and already has a fairly high humidity. Even if you accomplish that and the eggs manage to hatch several people have had the chicks die do to various design flaws. It can work... the odds are just so low as to make it pretty much worthless. Unless you've got unlimited eggs to put it in the thing until you finally get enough chicks you are just going to spend more buying eggs to hatch than you would getting one of the basic styrofoam bators.
