They are the animal worlds cutest babies IMO. I have 23 of them and 5 on the way starting any day. I can't wait!

Is he registered? Yes that is a very reasonable price. I would like to add though that you should NOT have just one donkey. They need another of their kind or a horse but they do need to be with another equine. There is a saying, "An only donkey is a lonely donkey." They are extremely social creatures. They could hurt the goats playing too rough. They also must be separated at feeding so they don't eat the goats grain as it could hurt them. Don't know about the Pyr, I guess it depends on him. Remember that dogs/coyotes are predators of donkeys and they see them as such unless they are used to them. Most of mine could care less about my large dogs but a few will go after them if they come into the pasture.

That's what is holding me back. I don't want to get him and be heartbroken when he doesn't do well with the GP. I asked today if he was registered just to see and haven't heard back yet. I think the seller is at work.

Is your GP a livestock guardian? If so, They would probably be fine since he would grow up with him. The ones I have that go after the dogs are much older and didnt grow up here. Like I said before Id be more concerned about not having another one for him. A reputable breeder will not sell a single donkey knowing you dont have another equine.
