Mini-fridge - DARTHBATOR

There are some really good spray paints now. I was going to touch up Darthbator with some this summer. He has a few scratches.

I also considered using the "chalk board paints" on one side to create a place to mark hatch dates. I think that works.

Right now I have a set of magnets I move when I turn eggs, like a work in/out board which keeps me aware of when I have forgotten to turn.

Having the information on the bator itself - priceless.

Funny how many things we have in common. If you're coming over on the Kingston some point let me know and I'll meet you.

chuckle tomorrow I'm going to look at a local serama guys birds. Mostly for the cheer up factor. But he mentioned eggs. LOL.

What do you use for heat? I have an old mini fridge we don't use any more that I bet my husband wild be thrilled to do man building stuff to. LOL. The only problem is how much it would cost us to do so. My frdige IS white

LOL well SIZE isn't everything... chuckle.

I'm using a pair of under cabinet 12v puck lights in this one. Might could do with one... but it's working and I won't fuss about it yet. Problem with them is right up close they're pretty hot unless they're on a dimmer. The regular lamp deal would work, just fiddle with wattage. Pucks happen to be easier to mount and position so I used what I had.

A white fridge cannot be a Darthbator fridge unless you convince it to go to the darkside.

Come to the Darkside -- Luke...

bwahahahaaa

The basics are on Speckledhens mini-fridge incubator post... all the best stuff is there. I am using a water-heater thermostat but if you can afford it the Reptitherm 500 isn't expensive and appears to work well - just got one to try on the other bator...
