I'm looking to make a mini fridge incubator. Getting a broken mini fridge today and my heating fan/thermostat will come in tomorrow. Any ideas on how to do shelves? Can I make them able to turn the eggs?

I have a mini fridge I was going to turn into an incubator, but it is the type that has a drawer in the bottom. I had to cut that hump out and now I have to make a back panel for it to cover the hole in the bottom of the fridge. I've been holding out for a free wine cooler, so I have a glass door and don't have to cut more holes in this mini fridge. I got a motor for mine to make rotating egg trays like a GQF, but haven't gone ahead with it as I have too many chickens already. There is a video on how a guy made simple rotating egg trays from wire mini fridge shelves. May take me a bit to find it. Or, you could use the mini fridge shelves and set the premade motorized egg trays on them. You can get those straight from China on Ebay for 16$ without a plug or a little more with a plug in.

I was thinking about the motorised egg trays to put on shelves

I incubate about 12-14 eggs every two weeks
Sounds like you are incubating regularly. The 48 egg motorized trays are 17" x 17". I would measure your mini fridge internals and see what will fit. You might want to purchase an extra motor in case of failure. I think they are 10 bucks. If you want to make your own egg turner there are lots of videos on you tube. It gets a bit more involved. I would also do a search on incubator articles on BYC.

Yea, had to slow down due to a week trip so everything has been timed to hatch before I leave.
