Hi, we recently received 2 mini x pgymy does that needed to be rehomed. Both does are about 12 months old and one just had a baby about 3 weeks ago and the other doe is pregnant due any day now. They have access to grass, native bushes, goat mix feed & hay (but I've never seen them eat the hay) & raw veggie scraps. How much should they be eating?

If they have access to grass/weeds/brush "pasture" they won't eat the hay. Save it for winter. About a cup of feed each is plenty with pasture access "a little more in winter to supplement the hay". Especially for pregnant does, don't want them getting to fat or the could have trouble kidding.

Goats are foragers. Unlike sheep or cows, they will not pick somewhere to graze and work their way around the field. Also, as Gray Farms said, if they have adequate forage, they won't eat the hay.
