Minimum order for purely pultry?

have you tried looking at Cackle hatchery? they have decent birds but i am not sure of the breeds you are looking for if they have them or if they would sell just pullets in those breeds. i think their system allows for 5 of a breed and i don't think they have a problem with ordering one rooster with 5 or so hens. you could always call the hatcheries too and see if they will do that for you.

Cackle has what they call the "Small order special".But you pay the price for that service.

Minimums: 15 chickens, 15 Bantams, 10 Ducks, 8 Geese, 50 for Chinese Ringneck Pheasants and Melanistics, 25 for Ornamental pheasants, 15 Guineas for Pearl, Royal Purple, White, and Lavender, 25 for other guinea colors, 15 Turkeys (domestic turkeys can be mixed with chickens, Wild turkeys must be entirely separate)

The chickens bantams ducks geese and turkeys can be mixed to make up the 15 minimum.

We can also do the 5 bird minimum for $41.00 which does include price of chicks and shipping.

I love using Ideal Hatchery. They have dollar minimum and not a chick minimum. You can pick as many or as few in any breed you choose as long as your total is $25 before tax. I just placed my order with them.
