Minnesota winters....PVC strips?

I agree completely....for me, vents are high in the coop where they ought to be....having PVC strips across the door is not an airtight seal - it mainly serves to keep a cold wind out of the coop. With adequate ventilation elsewhere, I think this is going to be okay...water for the chickens is NOT in the coop itself....and if it is indeed a problem, then I will simply remove the strips, or at least some of them, or perhaps space them a bit....

And the strips work just fine.....all four chickens have no problem using it.....humidity levels remain low....whether it is absolutely necessary is another question altogether, but i will be a bit more at ease when we have wind chills of minus 50.

Cool, did you have to add them 2 at time from the outside... or...?
