Dan, sorry to take so long to reply, haven't been on line. I want large fowl, would love white, but am assuming that they are mostly black that are out there.

There are better ways to handle them. You can just let them sit on your hand, they won´t fly away.

I have two dogs that will likely chase and kill them if they get away from me. Minorca are a naturally skiddish breed, and even if were normally calm, all it would take is one of them to get spooked, and fly away from me. They would likely be killed, or at least seriously harmed.

In the video, you should be able to tell that I'm not putting much pressure on the back of their necks. I just want to make sure that their baseless fear of me, doesn't cause them to act in such a way as to actually get them hurt.

The surprise chicken is probably a patridge leghorn (or brown leghorn as you guys call it).

The hatchery these are from give a "rare" breed chick free with the shipment. I could be mistaken, but the Brown Leghorn isn't likely to fit in that category. They are far more common (at least in the Midwest) than a Silver Leghorn.
