Miracle peep! please advise - he's the only one

I totally forgot that I had set ONE EGG from my Java hen in hopes that the Java roo was the one to do the duty. That was three weeks before they disappeared. It HATCHED TODAY!!!!! No doubt who the Papa is...

I've still got one black Java. There are none other that I set at the same time, so he is alone, too small to be with the two week olds. There will be others hatching in a week, I should be able to put him with them, right? Thank you....so happy!

Perhaps get him/her a "Brooder Buddy"?

You should be able to introduce the newly hatched to the older chick, just make sure they are completely dry before putting them together or the older one may peck on the wet chicks.
