You might try feeding her some bits of bread soaked in olive oil over the next couple of days to help things pass smoothly and give her insides a chance to heal and settle down.

Good for you for being such a good chicken mom!

I picked up one of the little bantam chicks this morning that we got from TSC 2 days ago only to find it's little bum caked with hard poop. We went to the sink and got a warm bum wash and carefully removed everything and then a hand dry with a paper towel. Poor little thing - amazing how such a small thing can mess everything up!
