Miracle!! UPDATING AGAIN..& YOU GUYS WILL NEVER BELIEVE THIS ONE! (+?)

Cool story such a great ending to the story, I did have to laugh about sitting in the room and twiddling your thumbs. I have had days like that with my chickens. Please post pictures of the little guy/girl I am not going to jinx it.

Good story and thank you for sharing with us! Maybe there are more chicks in the "bad" eggs...

Well....updating again. You guys will never believe this. Another egg is pipping!!! These eggs were NOT supposed to be any good! Here we are now with (potentially) two (free) peachicks!! Miracle is still the miracle though since he was technically "in the rubbish" and basically yelled for help lol. Also....Miracles toes are fixed.....Yeahhhh!! Sometime during the night he/she pulled off the booties and now is standing like an old pro. Sorry no pics yet, grandbaby ran battery out on camera so I am charging it. Promise pics are coming soon as I can.

Congratulations!!! I've had miracles like that myself. I have a duck named Hearty Hardy Harley, because there were four miracles involved in her hatching. Her mother had left the nest with other babies. I had asked my neighbor to let me know if she had any eggs, but she failed to notify me until the next morning. The eggs were thoroughly chilled. Still, when I was driving down the hill, I heard the peep, peep, peep. Come to find out, that egg had half of a hatched egg snugly on top of it. I pulled that off. She went on to hatch under my duck, but then the mother abandoned her!! She was chilled all that night. I found her and thought she was dead the next morning. But as I carried her up to the house, there was the slightest movement. I put her under a heat lamp that was too close and got her too hot, but she still made it. She is one of my best mama's to this day!! So I know how you feel. Wheeee!!!

But just to clarify, you did put the rest of the "rotten" eggs in the incubator?? I have a feeling there are more babies waiting to hatch in there. Did I understand that another one did hatch??

Anyway, GOOD LUCK!! What a blessing that you got him/her instead of it just dying at that tree.

You heard right...so far 3 have hatched!!! And get this.....i see movement in 4 more!!! They are all near to hatching at this point. I just keep shaking my head saying well isn't this a hoot. Bought 4 peafowl chicks and ended up with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8?, 9?, 10?, & 11? Boggles the mind lol. At least a dozen or two of the guinea are developing very nicely too. Very active little lumps in those eggs too lol. Keeping fingers crossed. Oh and Miracle says "Peep".....lol which I believe is hello, I'm here, notice me please! Everytime I walk by all I hear is that peepeeepeeep until I stop and scratch him and play with him for a few mins. I am thinking I am going to have one spoiled (but thankfully not rotten) peafowl on my hands
