Not so glorious photos, but this is real coop life.
I have two little grow outs that needed more heat in with a bantam and her frizzle friend. Here are the three preening next to each other this morning. View attachment 3985172

And, I got back up to 7 broodiesso I moved 4 that were in the one breeding coop into a "please stop being broody" pen. They are not happy today. Once these 4 break and go back were they belong, I'll move the 3 from the other pen in here.
I have, but I prefer spring hatching so I can get them outside sooner. The cockerel I kept from the Christmas hatch last year doesn't really know how to chicken. He's been outside now for months but still acts like a little prima donna and doesn't know how to eat grass and scratch around like a chickenDo you not do fall/winter hatching?
She's a beauty! Here is my favorite pullet from the Brinsea test hatch, she's been such a curious little chicken and really calm.

And two of the bantams that don't like the cold weather, their favorite place is to perch on the plate heater and keep their toes warm.

(Give Baby Bird a snuggle for me.

Is the darker one a silkied Cochin? It looks very similar to the ones I have here. What is the light colored one? Here is my favorite pullet from the Brinsea test hatch, she's been such a curious little chicken and really calm.
