Miss Prissy, Dare I Ask? Any Signs of Imminent Hatching?

All of mine where nicely formed but died sometime between day 16 - 18 I'd have to guess. That temp spike I think is the reason. I have no idea what caused it.

Shake it off and look forward to the next one; I have a feeling it will go better this time. And now, I know Skye's eggs are fertile and Velvet is laying, too, so you'll have more to start with of the Orps than last time anyway.

MissP.. I am so sorry! Do not give up! Now is the time to try again! And again, and again.. until you get it right..

I have found a different thermostat today, for when my big bator empty out. It can only go 1 degree higher than the recommended temp. I think with low wattage bulbs, running the thermostat at maximum capicity, I will never be able to cook eggs again. The bator will never be able to have a temp spike again.. With your luck, maybe you want to look into something like that?

Ms Prissy, sorry to hear these results. My one and only attempt to incubate hatched one chick out of 12 eggs. I know how disappointing it is. I'm on my second batch now...who knows. I wish you the best in your next hatch!
