Its night, and only one of my chickens are safe in her coop. My hubby says they are hiding and may return tomorrow. I am sad, and there are a lot of dogs, stray cats and hawks in the area. The only noise I heard was the one that was returned by a neighbor. They are very hard to catch...and upon looking at the nieboring back yards, there are no signs of feathers in any yard. I live in Fl, so no cold weather concerns, I am hoping for a very thankful Thanksgiving if my husband is right. Any ideas?

I tend to assume from your post that you free-range (??) If so, it is a fact of life that you will have losses from time to time. I am not an advocate of free-ranging so I can't really help you in that regard.

Have you looked around to see any tracks? Any wire torn apart?
