Well, the neighbor dog was chasing my girls in the yard last night again. Usually no problem, just an annoyance. But at bedtime one of my Silver Polish girls was missing. The kids thought the dog might have chased it through the fence row and into the field. So I take my flashlight and search for a couple of hours in the fence row, field, barn, around our house and yard . . . . no luck. Finally give up and hope she'll be at the coop door in the AM as has happened the one or two times a bird stayed out all night.

This AM, no Isabelle. So I walked the neighborhood calling, checked the fence row and barn again. No Isabelle. Had to go to work (darn job! I"m a chicken mom, I need a chicken sick day!!)

We have snow starting now. I imagine something got her in the night while she was out, but on the off chance that she's out there - please pray that she will find her way home soon. Her sister, Annabelle will sure miss her if not.

Thank you all!

:jumpy:

She had gotten under the deck last night and apparently has been there all day. All the girls seem to be able to get behind the lattice through a big opening on one side of the deck, but they forget how to walk back out! It's been a problem before, and I looked there last night, but most of the area is an old foundation for a summer kitchen, and I couldn't really see there.

So she's home in her coop with her friends and sister! Thank you all for your prayers, I'm sure they helped!!
