Neighbor dog killed a pullet

First time we had a problem the dogs owner refused to pay the fine so the county put their dogs down. This time we handled it ourselves
Some people just can't handle country living... and the hard work that comes with it.

Seriously... I took a 2 acre plot of ground... tamed it... built 2 livestock sheds... planted an orchard... planted all kinds of trees, AND (with help) built a 1650 square ft house with a full basement.

Then the spouse left. (rolleyes)

He has become a very good neighbor, if not a good friend. I'm actually glad his dog killed my chicken because otherwise we probably never would have met him. Since then, he has made some needed modifications to my coop and done some other projects for us around the place, and refuses payment. He's a former Marine who suffered a minor brain injury during active duty. He now buys eggs from me. I have no need or desire to be petty about this. I've gained a respected friend.
God works in mysterious ways...

That's an impressive list of accomplishments for 2 acres of land friend! Not all the people we meet along the way stay.THats usually a good thing.
