Missing chicken

I put some traps out awhile back. didn't have much luck. I was after a coyote. It did trip some of the traps but never got in any. Did get a fox and bobcat several years ago that were killing birds. I have since put heavy duty netting over all of the pens and electric wire around the fence line and the coops. If anything touches the wire they don't come back to test it out again. Recently I lost one of my Leghorn females (Houdini). No matter what coop and pen I put her in she would find a way out. I looked everywhere for her and no signs anywhere. I had seen a hawk around so I think the hawk may have gotten her. I let the birds free range most every day but if I can't they have nice large pens. They don't wonder too far from their coops.

Sorry guys, I don't have much time on my weekends to get on a computer, but I wanted to give an update. The chicken came back! I don't know where she went or why. She was gone for between 32-34 hours with no sign whatsoever. Her feathers were a bit ruffled and matted with mud when we found her in our yard (we checked for blood and wounds but found none). The other chickens were locked in the pen, and when we came home from the lake the evening we found her, the polish was trying to get into the run. I don't know, maybe she got lost in the beans, they are about 3-4 feet tall. Either way I'm glad she is back.
