missing chicken

most of my run is secured with 1x1 chicken wire except a small bridge from the coop to the run that I put 2x4 wire in. I know this isn't safe enough for racoons and make sure they chickens are secured in the coop every night to prevent that. however yesterday a 3 month old bird was missing andthere were some feathers next to the 2x4 wire fencing portion of the bridge. Its hard for me to believe but the chicken must have been pulled out through this wire I would have expected to see alot more feathers? what type of animal during that comes out during the day can do this, my guess is a fox stuck his snought in. I have a fence around my yard so it couldn't have been a coyote or dog.

anyway I am recovering any area tha has this 2x4 wire with 1x1 chicken wire. I was also thinking of running an electrified wire around the run as well to prevent these type of predators. What is the best way to setup this electrified wire?

Coyote, dog, coon or fox. All can climb fences. My lab can do it.
