Missing chickens!

I have 3 missing hens, which free-range around our 4 acres. Our neighbours just informed us that they layed weed killer around their trees, and we think the hens might have gotten into it

Would they hide or run away and die? I just dont get why they havent been back!

I would be much more suspicious that predator found them. If there was a predator attack and one was taken the others will go into hiding and stay put for a long time. Sometimes they'll come home at night to roost, sometimes not until the next day. If they were injured they will tuck themselves away and either come home if they are able to or die where they are hiding.

I doubt a predator would get all three of them? We have acreage but we live in a suburban area. They have been gone a week and a half now
