Missing Ducklings

Hello, a few days ago our backyard duck, Hayley (that’s what we named her) hatched 12 beautiful ducklings which she was very proud of. She would show them off coming up to the back doors and she is so attentive and lovely with them. Last night 6 went missing and we can not understand why. Hayley is not injured but she does look subdued and the remaining ducklings aren’t as lively. They’ve just disappeared, no bodies or anything. What has happened to them? There are neighborhood cats around but surely we would of heard something and a cat couldn’t of possibly of taken 6 in one night. Any ideas please let me know, thank you

fox owl raccoon coyote l, the list is endless, Now that theyve found them they will return.

Not that i have experience losing ducks but ive hunted and read about wildlife for a long time

Were they in a coop?

I ask the same thing where was mama and her ducklings when this happened?

Very sorry for your loss. So many possibilities so many preds especially at night.
