We have had problems with crows and magpies taking the chickens' eggs. We are about to bird-proof the enclosure to combat this, but it seems like the little ladies have learnt their lesson from the other birds and now seem to be eating their own eggs! I have had 1 egg so far this week from 3 chickens and it is driving us mad! Any suggestions? They lay in a fairly open box - would we be better to enclose it a bit more? Any suggestions welcome!

I would use something more in closed, they like a safe place to lay their eggs

i have nest boxes in the coop, the only opening is the front, and i use hay in the nest box's
