My rooster that im showing in two days had a small bald spot on his head bc the hens would always peck at it. So I had him seperated for two weeks so it could grow back. Well he some how got back in with the hens and they pecked out all the nice feathers he was getting back in. So my question is do the judges usually judge this?
Thanks.

This is what is known as 'condition.'

Yes, it is a part of the process: can be 25% or more of the total points.

All else being equal (Type first, color second) the condition will win or lose for you.

Its my White crested blue polish. Well not much I can do now.

That's how it goes.
We all deal with it.

Never forget though: all else being equal, Condition will win the show.

In a Polish, with all those feathers... You already paid the entry fee. How much in gas are you going to lose?
Will you be that ashamed of yourself? I would bring him. But that's just me, I'm Stoopid!
Maybe I haven't gotten tired of showing yet...

Oh, I didn't say don't bring him!

Just don't expect to win! lol.

Had a beautiful Spangled Asil cock bird year before last at the Unifour, got in a wire fight with the Spangled cock next too him. By the time someone came and got me both were covered in blood. You think I took him out? Not a chance! I paid the entry fee: he stayed put: Blood and all.

i keep all my show birds apart from each other that way there is no pecking i have polish male that only had nice crest when he by him self

Well see how it goes! Im gonna still show! lol My fiance keeps joking with me you cant show a bald chicken lol. Its only a small part.

Condition is important & is often the deciding factor but it's at most 10 out of 100 points, not 25%.
