Missing Images

I have run upon a few articles that the images are missing such as:

There were a couple more articles but I don't remember the exact place.

Where did they go? Was it the sitewide update or just on my end?

That particular article is very old.


It's not a your end problem.

They didn't upload their photos they way they should have.

May be a bug. Looks like the images would show since they should be uploaded on the site.

Thanks for the examples. We're slowly working on fixing the millions of "redirects" that are from multiple website and platform changes. For example, that one above is in the image format from the platform we were on 2.5 years ago.

NOTE: ALL the images are still on the servers (and our backups), we just need the pages and posts to point to the new locations.

We're working through all these and appreciate everyone's patience as we figure them out.

will now load the pic but the other links will not. I think because of the force-refresh. There is not an option when "right clicking" to load in a new tab so I think these are a different problem than this thread:

Yeah, I think there are a few things going on:

1. Some articles / threads have missing images because they've been removed long before we did the update (this is probably the case with articles that are over 5 years old and missing images).
2. We may still need to do some work with the redirects to point images to the right place
3. There seems to be some ISP caching, etc. issues going on that we're working through.
