We have not had a good chicken run!
Had 4 pullets, my dog killed one. We replaced her with another pullet from same flock. Two days later two Huskies got out of their fence killed all five plus my neighbors!
So we replaced those same flock...but with only 4. The day after we replaced the dearly departed one of our girls we thought was killed and dragged off somewhere showed up...no worse for the wear! So we placed her in the coop after checking her out of course. Well today we noticed the below on her back. I do have a little jerk who is trying to assert her womanhood with everyone and there was an incident with a different gal who was pecking at the girl we thought died but I have not noticed since. Any who wanted to give the full story and ask you fine people if the below pics are normal for a 7 week young girl or not? There is no blood or anything irritated looking.
And before anyone asks...Yes we have a coop they are secured in at night but they do roam during the day and now that my dog is a known chicken killer we won't let her out loose in that area any longer
