Missing Rooster

I got home last night my three hens were hiding and my little rooster "Beacker" wasn't to be found? He was very tame and all my chicks free range in our back yard.... No feathers or blood left so I am guessing a hawk or eagle got him? We have a chain link fence in the back yard.... any other ideas?

oh so sorry, does sound like a hawk

I thought one had got one of my girls last spring but I was pleasantly surprised to look out my window the next morning and see her walking around in the driveway. Sometimes they get frightened and hide and it takes a couple days for them to come back.

Maybe you need to add a roof or at least places for them to hide and get away from the hawks.
