Hi guys,

I have a two year old Silkie called Sooty who appears to be missing from her run this afternoon mysteriously. We are really panicking as night is falling and she has left no trace as to where she is. Any idea what may of happened. Do they usually come back?

thanks in advance to anyone who replies :)

best wishes.

Do your chickens free range? If so, she might want to go hatch some eggs (called "go broody"). If she is doing that, she won't be back for about 1 month.
I'm sorry, and good luck! :fl

yes, I’m our enclosed garden. That may well be the case. Many thanks, let’s hope she turns up!

My favorite girl, a welsummer disappeared for most of the day once so I had to go hunt for her.

Can you see her?

Silkies are known for being broody so I hope your little lady is just be a naughty mama and off hiding some place, but please do go look for her.

How sweet! All of those eggs as well! Thank goodness, sooty returned this morning outside her coop! I have no idea where she went but was missing the whole night!
