Omega farms has some great birds (Columbia), I am going to order some eggs when it gets warmer. North MS here :)
 
I have found two hatcheries within 2 hours of Oxford, MS.

Valley Farms Hatchery in Muscle Shoals AL. So far prices are fair with a February delivery window.
I have 20 Freedom rangers and 10 NovoGens birds on order I will update this post once I have developed more of an opinion.

Rita the Chicken Lady in Lexington, TN (731-733-1301). She deals in heritage breeds. I hope to get Orpingtons and Australorps from her in Late March.

I am from Gulfport, MS. I have 2 hens & 1 rooster. One hen is laying on 2 eggs right now. They should hatch March 9 if all goes well.
