Missourians

It's nice to see some fellow Missourians on here. I live in the Southeast portion of the state, near Poplar Bluff. I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks now, but haven't posted until today. I'm currently working on a coop for my month old chicks (6 black cochin bantams and 5 light brahma bantams). I'll post some pictures when I get it completed.

Shirl

welcome Shirl, I just got my first grown chickens a week ago Wed. I was so apprehensive about them at first but they are fine. I was so afraid to let them out of their pen as I was afraid they would disappear. But thanks to this forum, people are so great, when they got out one week after getting them, they come back to their pen often. They come in around noon every day now to nap...not a bad idea

We live south of you and go that way when we go to Mexico, Mo to visit grandkids. You must post pictures so we can see those cute new babies.

at least they have somewhere to go in the next week or so

thank you for the welcome, T.J. Can't wait to see your pictures. We converted a dog pen into a coup with tarps and plastic sheeting to protect the grown chickens from all this cold and rain. I stayed awake designing the real coup last night that we will build this summer. Can't wait for chicks from the hens I have already. Hope Shirl posts new pics so we can see her chicks progress.
