Misspelling

I see this too often. It appears to be intentional since the i is not near the e on a keyboard.

" this one was in the pin we had our bird in. "
"Pin" happens because people spell it phonetically. Same with "liberry" instead of "library," etc.

Batty is very anti the use of irregardless. Both mean the same but regardless is the preferred form.
No. Irregardless would be the opposite of regardless, if irregardless were a word. Which it is not. It is a bastardization of regardless and irrelevant.

Well, it depends.
In most English dictionaries the word gotton is given as an Americanisation of the past tense of get. I don't think I ever heard it used when I was in the UK. Why bother when got will do the job?
I prefer my English un-Americanised.
Never heard of gotton until this thread. Gotten, yes. UK throws "u" in all kinds of places we don't, as in colour, Saviour, behaviour, etc. Shrug. Is why I say we don't speak English, we speak American. I think after 200 years we ought to admit we speak our own language!

We say gotten in England all the time. Are you sure you were in England? :D
I have seen, due to someone's auto correct, "combs and waffles."
Auto correct almost made me say that today. I just corrected my post in time.

I did see an advert for chickens.
It said they got 4-5 eggs per day.
I was thinking, wow! What kind of chickens are these?
Then I realized they didn't mean per chicken.

What a disappointment.

Really? Well I never. I feel I should point out that if that little box on the left of your post contains correct information you don't live in England.
So, I'm pretty certain as to my whereabouts; what about you?:p

Mmm, waffles.
... I wish that I had a waffle iron... I love waffles....
*Sad sigh.*
I have a waffle iron and I make a homemade chicken gravy (lots of meat) to pour on the waffles. The gravy changes the taste of the waffles and the waffles chang e the taste of the gravy improving both flavors.
