I'm sorry, I must have missed something. Why were they on antibiotics? I agree with the answers you've received. They do not need any scratch, however if you feed them anything except starter, they do need additional grit. Chicks at my house never taste scratch at all till they are probably over 11 weeks old. And then, I begin using it as a training tool to get them to come when called, not as actual food and part of their diet.
