There are feathers everywhere, but Missy is worth the hassle! Prior to her moulting she was very submissive and would even let me pet her body under her wings, but now it is "HANDS OFF". It is like she has become more "wild" since moulting and putting her diaper on is difficult. Is her body more sensitive now? How long will this last? I want the old Missy back, it is like she is a different duck, but she is still awesome!

I also read their flying ability is compromised while molting. She is def staying close and is needy right now. Pooping is down and don't have to change diaper as often. I wonder if this is due to her stopped egg production? I do not look forward to its return. Are males lighter "poopers" because they don't have to produce eggs? For this reason I bet they make better inside ducks.
