Help! My OEGB pullet, Missy, still cannot walk! She can just flop over. (She has lost complete control of her leg. Her left leg is worse, I think) One wing is slightly drooping, and one eye she tries to keep closed. She gasps, too. We have her under a heat lamp, seperate, with food and water. There doesn't seem like I can do much else..... Anyone had a problem like this? Solutions? Please!

If she's having breathing problems... you may have to do the humane thing and end her suffering. How long has this all been going on?

That unfortunately sounds like Mareks--starts with one leg (usually left) then the wing, etc..becomes paralyzed. Has this chicken ever been vaccinated? Keep her separated from the others as the dander is contagious. You can do some research, but there really is not much you can do for her if it is Mareks--keep her comfortable.
Here's some info--

Mareks... well, I hope not. It's been going on for almost week now. It is most likely some sort of muscle damage, though, because she somehow got into the Standard breeds coop and they chased her into a small cranny and she had her wings jammed over her back. Poor baby. She was fine for a few days, just wing slightly drooping, then she started to stagger when walking, then she would fall over. I don't know what to do...

I guess it is possible for trama to the bird. just in case do you have her seperate?

I don't know what to tell you, if it is mercks the best thing to do is put her down.

I did find this for trama to animals and the first paragraph kind sounds like what you have. Just take a look.

My initial thought was Marek's as well, until I read your post about her getting into the Standards pen.

Sounds like trauma. Can she wiggle toes, etc or is her leg completely paralyzed? Is it all on the same side? If it is nerve damage, I don't know what could be done to help her or allow her to heal (if it is possible). I hope someone can give useful advice to help your bird. All I can offer are my thoughts and prayers.
