Mister M for Magnificant

The picture that you brought over from Mindys thread is a SPBS, Poppa P (purple), not Mr. M. I added the picture I cropped him from so you could see more of Poppa P and his son, Sonny P.

Mr. M and the other BS from earlier in this thread, I showed both of them together so we could see that in the same light and same angle how Mr. M and Freckles backs were so different. Mr M has the golden back and Freckels, like all the rest of my cocks have green/blue backs.

And if that did not confuse you enough, you can go back to the other thread and see Momma P (PBS) and daughter PenelliPea (SPBS).

Those back feathers that look like scales will be different on the Purple birds. The Purples will be more of a blue green while the blue varieties will have more of a yellow green color. My BS, IB and my coming 2 Spalding all have the same color back there, and it depends on the lighting how green or how yellow they appear. When my coming 2 Purple BS Pied colors in he will be a different color on the back.

The last picture is the Spalding, the first 2 do not have any green blood that I am aware of.

@DylansMom , thank you for the reply! You have the most considerate birds! Look how clean their feet are and they didn't leave one white or green spot on that beautiful patio.

Exact total opposite of my birds and patio.

From the respones I got, I will assume that Mr. M is split to Black shoulder.

My DH is so anal about that patio since he did a lot of the work himself. I go out as soon as those nice little piles dry out a bit and scrape them up, otherwise I would not be allowed to let any of the birds out to roam. I have a scraper and a spray bottle with cleaner and a brush, it isn't too bad if you keep after it on a daily basis. The things I do for my birds.
By the way I got myself 2 IB hens, could have had 4 if I'd wanted to be greedy, but we are at capacity here. I really need to move out a couple of males, but I'm a bit scared now. Someone emailed me and asked if I ever Taxidermy any of my white boys!

My husband learned long ago to just overlook some things makes for a much happier marriage i mean come on we live on a farm with farm animals and farm stuff.

A while back he decided to put some stuff in the barn soon it became alot of stuff and after a while you could not find anything unless you knew what shape it was because a fine coat of brown dust covers every thing in the barn, so when he goes to find something in the barn i laugh at him when he can't and i reminded him it is a barn for goodness sakes

he laughs about it also
