A swollen lymph node is no big deal no matter what it is. It is probably an abscess. If it is an abscess it will come to the surface shortly. An abscess should be lanced and cleaned when it is ripe either by you or the vet or somebody else. I am not a fan of letting them rupture on their own because I do not want that bacteria laden pus contaminating the premises no matter what it is. When an abscess is ripe you will feel a soft spot and the skin feels thinner at that place. It may bald. If it is an abscess, PM me and I will give you detailed instructions on how to take care of it. If you are squeamish take the animal to the vet at that point. Meanwhile, try to relax. Whatever it is, the animals is not going to keel over because of it.
Once whatever it is comes to the surface a picture would be helpful.
