This is the first time we are incubating call duck eggs. We are at day 5 and today we started to mist the eggs as was suggested by a few of you. Do we just mist them in the incubator? Our humidity was hovering at 62% but after we misted the eggs for the first time the humidity jumped to 80%. Should we continue to mist in the incubator, or take the eggs out and mist. Do we use warm or cool water?

I dont know about call duck eggs but with regular duck eggs, I used very lukewarm water and left the cover off the incubator for 10 to 15 minutes.

I just mist in the bator.and use room temp or lukewarm water. Good luck hatching

I've been misting in the bator, this next hatch is my first one with using the misting for almost the whole time. We'll see how it goes.

I mist inthe bator; humidity "pings" way up but then drops back down. I am running cabinet incubators with several vent holes though.
