I have five duck eggs in the incubator on day 9. For all my hatches last year I misted them with a spray bottle once a day starting on day 7. I was thinking of skipping that step this time to see if it makes a difference at all, but I'm curious if anyone else has already tried both methods and found there to be any difference?

I equate the misting to the hen or goose getting off the nest. She goes for a quick dip then returns to the nest with wet feathers. You're just replicating what nature does. No I haven't skipped the misting step.
That's what I've heard too. I've had pretty good hatches so far doing it, but I'm still curious if it really does make a difference.
