Should I wait to put the mite stuff on my chickens till after my broody hatches her eggs? I don't see any but my easter eggers are molting again. And one is getting peeked a little. I am also thinking of deworming them as I am only getting one maybe 2 eggs a day.

Before the broody hatches. That way the chicks come into a place without mites.

We use food grade D. Earth to dust our little flock. It's safe to use at any time. Heck, they can even eat the stuff! I just put a little in their nesting box and place some in their favorite dust bathing spot. They basically dust themselves for maintenance. If we notice any problems we go in after they have taken to their roost at night, fill an old tube sock with the stuff and powder them down.

Also, you can add a little ACV to their water for the worming issue. Much gentler than the commercial grade stuff.

Thank you. This is most helpful. I had a hen quit sitting on a eggs so I am trying not to bug this one to much.
